Suzanne K. Cachat

Suzanne K. Cachat died peacefully surrounded by her family on April 7, 2017. Beloved wife of Chris for 28 years. Loving mother of Lauren and Madeleine. Dear sister of Marc (Linda) Fitch, Kevin (Keri) Fitch, and Eric (Ann) Fitch. Suzanne is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Agnes.

Suzanne received both a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Loyola University of Chicago. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Systematic Theology from Catholic University in Washington D.C. and eventually her Doctorate in Medicine from the Medical College of Ohio/ University of Toledo.

Suzanne worked as a teacher of biology and theology in Denver, Colorado and Cleveland, Ohio. She also practiced as a doctor of internal medicine at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan and St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Michigan.

Suzanne was known by her family and friends for her sharp intellect, her quick wit, her selflessness in helping those in need, and her strong faith.

Visitation Tuesday, April 11 from 2pm to 8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. Funeral Mass Wednesday, April 12 at 10am, in-state at 9:30am, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 23815 Power Road in Farmington.
