Richard L. Balogh

Beloved husband of Mary for 65 wonderful years. Loving father of Bob (Trudy), Mike (Linda) and Jerry (Lynn Halton). Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Nathan), Carli, Trent, Daniel, Amanda, Zachary and Joshua. Dear brother of Bill (Janet), Marge (Tom) Leeman, Joe (Joanne) and Sue (Bill) Bastionell.

Dick attended the University of Michigan where he was a member of Triangle Fraternity and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1958. He worked as an Engineering Manager at Detroit Diesel for over 30 years until his retirement. On a perfect day Dick would be out enjoying a game of golf or travelling. Memories were made taking trips with the family over many summers and travelling to South Padre Island in Texas during winter months with Mary. Dick loved football as he and his family were U of M season ticket holders for 35 years. Go Blue!

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2nd at 11:30am, followed by a Memorial Service at 12:30pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Richard can be made to The University of Michigan School of Engineering or The Salvation Army.
