Just saw Mike's obit. in the UofD Spiritus.  Worked with Mike on several cases when he was at LAWNET and I was CID-EL.  Tremendous respect for him.  God does have a special place for men like Michael.  Condolences to his family, especially his nephew BJ who grew up with my son in Mason.  God Bless.

I'm so sorry to hear this.  I first met Mike when the Northville post opened.  What a great guy and outstanding Trooper.  What I remember most about him was his smile, his laughter and his endless sense of humor.  My deepest regrets on his family's loss.  Rest in peace brother, till we meet again.

I was saddened to hear of Mike's passing.   My condolences to his family and his many friends.  The world is less without him in it.  Our paths in the Michigan State Police  intersected many times, as troopers at Detroit/Northville, Detectives at the Ypsilanti Post, and then again when I was commander of the Ypsi Post and he at LAWNET.  Over the years, I had many long, personal, and philosophical conversations with Mike.  He was wise, kind, funny, and just an overall pleasure to be around.  One of the good guys, for sure.  RIP brother.  See you on the other side.  

I worked with Mike over 40 years ago at the Detroit/Northville MSP Post. He was a great guy and a good friend. I'm sorry our paths never crossed much after I left there but I've always had good memories of hanging out with him at work and often after work when a group of us might go have a drink. We were both sons of troopers so we had that connection too. RIP, my friend.    

My husband (Nonie) and I grew up in the same neighborhood, I was right next door.  So have fond memories of playing together sometimes. Baseball in our back yard. Hide and seek. Red rover and many more kid games. Marianne and I were buddies so I spent nights and meals at their house often.
Remember Mike as being quiet and kind.  Also remember him practicing in his back yard with bow and arrows for hrs at a time.  
We had just reconnected on fb a few months back, also with Marianne.

I share in your sadness for the passing of Mike.  My path first crossed his when I was a trooper at Ypsilanti and he a detective sergeant. He was well liked and respected. During that time I purchased his old white Chevrolet pickup. I also enter acted with him when he commanded LAWNET. Since retiring I have become an author and am now writing my third book about the MSP.  Mike makes appearances on page 148 of PATHS CROSSED: VILLAINS-VICTIMS-VICTORS and page 282 of PATHS CROSSED - A CLOSER LOOK. His life was well lived. Please accept my condolences.    

A tribute to Mike who was an inspiration to many of us across much of life's segments; investigator, academic, teacher, personality, and friend.  The list is vast.  Too soon gone, but always remembered.  May he be our advocate in heaven.

Peggy, Rick, and Megan, as you know I had the distinct pleasure of having been Mike's cub.  What he instilled in me guided my career as well as my personal life.  We made a difference as we patrolled the Northville and surrounding areas helping many in need as state troopers.  Most will never know the bond we shared on duty and off.  We shared hunting and fishing trips that I will never forget.  Time with Mike and Peggy and my wife were very special.  I pray for Mike and family and I hope and know that he is well received above in his new home.   God Bless you Mike, Peggy, Rick, and Megan.  And and always, Thank You Mike.

I worked with Mike for several years at Northville.  He was always a happy, smart and effective Trooper, and as a Sergeant I found him willing and capable of providing guidance to newer, younger Troopers on numerous occasions.  I appreciated his dedication and commitment and I know he will be missed.  
We all need to thank our Lord for gentlemen like Mike Knuth.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Peggy, Rick, and Megan during this difficult time.  I am glad to have known Mike as both a mentor and a friend.   He will be remembered and missed.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Mikes passing. I was a long time friend of his Dads. I remember Mike when he was in his early teens, when his Dad and I worked at the Mt. Dear Peggy, and family, We are so very sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. May God give you peace and strength in knowing he is safe in the Arms of Our Lord.  Our deepest sympathy, Chris and Marty Casper. 

I had the privilege to work with Mike while we were field detectives at the State Police Post in Ypsilanti and again as lieutenants in the Narcotics Section in Livonia.  Mike was a talented investigator and leader and was fun to be around because of his great sense of humor.  I'll never forget his unique laugh.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

I worked with Michael Knuth for several years at the MSP. I admired his work, his kindness, and the way he handled people and problems. He was far too young to pass. He had so much more to provide. I will miss him, his smile, his dedication, and his intellect. All who knew him will miss him, as we do his father Lynn. My condolences to the Knuth family. Thank you for sharing these two fine men with the MSP family for so many years.

Mike was the kindest person I had ever met while working at the Washtenaw county Sheriff's office. He cared so much about others while neglecting himself, God has his newest Angel to be with all those he has helped in the past! God Speed my friend!

Mike  was one of the nicest guys one could ever meet.  It was always a pleasure to visit with him.  You folks will be in my prayers.  May God bless you.

I am shocked and saddened to hear about Mike.  We had a lunch meeting a few years ago and he told me my MSPTA activity back in the late 70's wasn't what he thought and he wished we had been closer than we were.
