Michael Dean Greene

Michael Greene passed away on Friday October 28, 2022 at the Walton Woods Independent Living Apartments in Canton Michigan. He was the loving brother of Linda (Greene) Behnke, his niece Kris Behnke, and his nephew Jason Behnke of Westland, Michigan. He will be missed by many friends, including his golfing buddies, the Brown Dogs, and his buddies Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Manrique. Without Dennis's help the last eight months, Mike would have been lost.

Michael was born on April 8, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to parents, Myrtle and Carper Greene. He went to Detroit Western High School before being drafted into the army and serving in Korea from Nov. 1, 1965 until Oct 31, 1967. On his return he entered Wayne State University and received his Teaching Degree in Health and Physical Education. He taught in the West Bloomfield School District and taught and coached girl’s basketball at West Bloomfield High School. He took them to the Michigan Girl’s Regionals for which this and his season record got him recognized as the Oakland County Girl’s Basketball Coach of the Year.

Recently he was an honorary assistant coach to Don Palmer and the Harland High School Girls Basketball Team.

Things he liked: Camping road trips, doowop music, golf, pool, Basketball, trivia, and poker

Always remembered as a good, caring person, Intelligent, and a wonderful sense of humor

Per Mike's wishes, there will be no funeral.
