Mary Ann Gorski

She was born on February 7, 1931 to Gerard and Olive (Dean) Power in Detroit, MI.

Mary Ann married Louis Gorski on August 11, 1951 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Dearborn,

Michigan. They shared 47 years of marriage before Louis’ passing in 1998.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Louis; brother, Gerard Power; sister, Margaret

Raschke.

She is survived by her children; daughters, Gerilynn (Lawrence) Piatek and Denise Ohngren; son, Brian

(Windy) Gorski; grandchildren, Jeremy Piatek, Evan Ohngren, Jordan Ohngren, Jillian Ohngren, Carly

Kauppila, Breanna Kauppila and Brian Louis Gorski; sisters, Rosemarie Carroll and Doramae Waldron.

Mary Ann worked at the Livonia Police Department as a Clerk Typist for 19 ½ years. She

enjoyed music, travel, family picnics, dancing, water aerobics, and yoga. Mary Ann will be remembered

for her devotion to her family and friends and her generous, giving nature. She was gentle, kind and

caring.

Mary Ann will be deeply missed and we will forever cherish her in our hearts and memories.

A memorial service is planned for a later date at St. Colette Catholic Church. Kind words and memories can be shared on this website.
