John Denny Winkler Jr., 58, of Highland, Michigan, passed away on December 28, 2020.
Loving father of Stefani (Josh) Benko, proud grandfather of Evelyn Benko, son of the late Adeana Carey and John Denny Winkler. Cherished stepson of Leo Carey, brother of Wendy Winkler and Terri (Steve) Jensen. Beloved uncle and friend to many.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, John served as a fireman electricians mate and was awarded an expert pistol medal and ribbon. He was a practicing Journeyman Plumber and truly enjoyed his craftsmanship, as well as the people he worked with. John received the degree of Master Mason from the Michigan Masonic Lodge and enjoyed his time of service, especially in his mini car in the parades as a Shriner. He enjoyed riding his Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle with his daughter and friends, and in particular during his time down south for work. John’s time at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 2370 and the friendships he made there were cherished by him deeply.
