He met his wife, Violet, in high school and they were married shortly after graduation. George and Violet made a happy home for their son, Ron, when he came along several years later. George worked diligently to provide for his family, primarily in small grocery stores he owned. He spent most of his adult life serving for the American Ramallah Federation of Palestine, as Executive Secretary, Vice President and then President. In his capacity as President of the Ramallah Federation he met with various United States Presidents and various diplomats, facilitating communication between the United States and Palestine. He witnessed the signing of the Camp David Peace Accords in 1978. George and Violet helped to found St. Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church and were active members their entire married life. The joy of his later years was found in his grandsons, whom he adored.
