Born in New York City and raised in Kew Gardens, Queens, Richard lived in New Jersey from 1966 to 2002 and then spent his final years in the Florida sunshine. He graduated from Nichols College and was the owner and President of Axiom Products in Carlstadt, NJ. Multitalented with a wide range of interests, Richard loved to fly Cessnas, ski, bike, travel, paint, and play tennis and especially golf. Outgoing, funny and generous, he adored his dogs and loved to make people laugh.
Richard is survived by his children Robert Allen Siegel and Jill Ellen Siegel; her partner, Darryl Rosado; his grandchildren Gemma Dale and Joshua Liam Siegel-McDermott, and his sister, Jane Hermann. He is predeceased by his mother, Bertha Weiss Siegel, his father, Benjamin Siegel, and his partner, Paula Falk.
A celebration of his life will be held at the home of Jill Siegel at 1PM on Sunday, April 17th in Livingston, NJ. Donations in Richard’s name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or The Humane Society.
