I met Niecee when I was a young genetic counselor. She was thoughtful, straightforward and encouraging to me and other colleagues. She was generous, kind and compassionate to her patients. Her trailblazing voice will be missed in her professional community; her memory is a blessing to us all. 

Niecee was a great friend and colleague.  I met Niecee shortly after I received my graduate degree – she therefore has been a part of my whole career as a genetic counselor! We bonded quickly over our interest in preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). We spoke at various genetics conferences together working to educate other genetic counselors on roles in the arena of assisted reproductive technologies, specifically PGT. Lucky for me, Niecee and I later worked together until she moved into cancer genetics working at Sharsheret and Summit Health. Throughout my career, Niece was a support and friend. I had the joy of meeting Sandy early in their relationship, and spending time with them locally and at conferences.  My life and career were better having Niecee in them…I will carry her in my heart.
