Lucille Marie Hammer

Lucille Marie Hammer, 87, passed away at her residence in Livingston on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Monday, September 19, 2016, 4 until 8 PM. The funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, will be at 10:30 AM followed by the committal service at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.

Lucille was born in Lewisburg, PA to William and Lucy (Whitman) Rupp and was a Livingston resident since 1957. She was a loving homemaker devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandsons. Lucille loved writing poetry and was extremely enthusiastic about “the three Bs”: bowling, bingo and baseball.

Predeceased by her beloved husband LeRoy, she is survived by her devoted children: Susan DeSapio and husband Guy; William and wife Nancy; Martin and wife Miriam; and Thomas and wife Terri. She was the loving grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of two. She is survived by her dear sister June Kreutz and many nieces and nephews.
