Frank was born on August 3, 1943 in Newark, NJ, to parents, Frank W. and Mary (Lenard) Kubichek and was raised in Maplewood. He graduated from Columbia High School in 1961. Frank proudly served in the Army National Guard for 6 years demonstrating his commitment to his country. Following his military service, Frank went on to establish a lifetime career as a Longshoreman, and retired from Port Newark Container Terminal in 2019.
Frank had many passions. He was an avid fisherman often spending hours on the water and was an active member of the Livingston YMCA. His love of cars was matched only by his joy in sharing stories and experiences with friends and family. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and cherished having meaningful conversations with his grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary (Lenard) Kubichek and his brothers William and Michael.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife Susan (Goldner) Kubichek with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. He was a loving and generous father to Sandra Lillo and her husband Michael, and Michelle D’Alessandro and her husband Remo. He was a devoted grandfather to Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, Christian and Juliana.
Family and friends are invited to attend a four-hour Visitation on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ at 10:00am.
