Dennis Raffa Sr.

Dennis Raffa, Sr., 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in Livingston, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, Dennis was a long time resident of Livingston, where he was a communicant of St. Philomena’s Church. Dennis worked for 42 years for Seton Hall University as a groundskeeper, before his retirement. He was also an avid gardener, enjoyed spending summers at his summer home on the beach in Seaside Park, but his greatest gift was being able to bring a smile to everyone’s face, especially his beloved family, who he loved dearly.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Karen; his sons and their spouses, Dennis Jr. (Courtney) and Frank (Amy); his adoring grandchildren, Mason, Jax, Cameron, and Jack; his siblings Paul Raffa (Grace) and Nancy Vassallo (Lenny), along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will miss him deeply. Dennis also leaves his dog, Finn.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19 from 2-6 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, December 20 at 10AM, at St. Philomena’s Church, Livingston. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
