Daniel Yanofski, proud husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024, at the age of 71. Dan was born on November 3, 1952, in the Bronx, New York, where he met the love of his life Fern and his best friends. Dan moved his family to West Orange, New Jersey where he raised his three children, laughed with friends and started his successful real estate company.
He is survived by his children, Jason Yanofski, Heather (Jared) Lowy and Scott (Shari) Yanofski. Dan was the proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Lance, Dustin, Russell, Walt and Victoria. He is also survived by his sister Alice Schiller and her husband Lenny, with whom he shared a close bond.
Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Fern, who was the light of his life. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love and traditions.
Dan was the co-founder of Elite Realtors of New Jersey, where he built a respected career in real estate, now run by his son Scott.
Dan was passionate about poker, music, and hosting backyard barbecues, where friends and family were always welcome. His pride in his career, his family, and especially his grandchildren made him who he was.
Funeral is 11:00am at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel followed by graveside service at Beth El Cemetery, Paramus, NJ.
Shiva will be observed at the home of Jared and Heather Lowy on Sunday from 6-8pm and Monday from 11-3 and 6-8pm.
