Born in Newark to Mary (Ilaria) and Ralph Cordasco, he was raised in Newark and moved to East Orange, before settling in West Caldwell more than 45 years ago.
Dan graduated from Bloomfield High School and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he earned a degree in Marketing and Public Relations.
He had a career which spanned more than 30 years working as the Director of Resource Development and specializing in Special Events and Fundraising for Catholic Community Services of the Archdiocese of Newark.
Dan was also the owner of two clothing stores, A La Carte in Livingston and the Gazebo in Bloomfield.
He was devoted to the Sisters of Saint Dominic and helped with the fundraising efforts of St. Vincent Academy in Newark. He was also a member of Unico and the Knights of Columbus.
Dan was predeceased by his parents, a daughter Dana Cordasco, a sister Geraldine Capone, and brothers Thomas, Anthony, Frank, and Joseph Cordasco.
He is survived by his wife Anne, a son Daniel and his wife Michele Pignatello, and four grandchildren.
Services were privately held under the direction of the LaMonica Memorial Home in Livingston.
