Catherine “Mom” was a delightful, kind hearted, compassionate woman who always gave of herself to others, always had a smile on her face, and loved to laugh and joke. She had a kind ear and and her great wisdom was of comfort to many and gave guidance to those that sought her advice.
Catherine worked as a Library Aide at the Robert Lazar Middle School in Montville for 26 years until she retired. She was real estate agent throughout her life and acknowledged as a member of the Million Dollar Club by Coldwell Banker in Pine Brook.
With a generous and selfless nature, Catherine devoted many hours to her volunteer work which she loved. She was a long-time member of the Montville Women’s Club for over 40 years. Their charitable acts included collecting soda can tabs for recycling for which she received an award from the Morris County MUA (The Face of Recycling ) known as the “Tab Lady”. She collected over 1,000,000 tabs to which the proceeds were donated to the Ronald MacDonald House. Catherine was proud of being part of the “comfort pillow project” , sewing pillows for women who where recovering from breast cancer surgery. Catherine’s own personal missions included donating clothing, candy and toys to The St. Peter’s School for Boys, Operation Smile, and the Market Street Mission.
She also received a Certificate from the Superior Court of NJ, for serving on the Board of Montville Municipal Mediation for community disputes.
The Belotti family would like to acknowledge Janell, Vida, and Alexandra who went above and beyond in their support of our mother over the past years.
Catherine was born in Bloomfield, NJ to the late Arsenio and Louise Recenello. She is survived by her beloved children Michele Belotti-Ventricelli, Keith Belotti and wife Claudia, Duane Belotti, grandchildren Carl, Lenny, and Marccela, and sisters Lillian Ippolito and Concetta Barbella. A proud mother, Catherine would say, “My children are my inspiration”. She was a beautiful woman whose smile and wit will be greatly missed - but who will always be a part of us.
