Annie Blair Eisner, age 20, passed away on Friday, August 25,2023. Annie is survived by her parents, Jodi and Andrew Eisner, her sister Lainie, and her grandparents, Joyce and Neal Leavitt as well as her aunts, uncles and cousins. Annie was born and lived in Livingston, NJ. She went to Temple Beth Shalom Preschool, Mount Pleasant Elementary School, and was a graduate of Livingston High School Class of 2021. She had an abundance of friends, many of whom she met when they were very young. She was a student at Syracuse University, Newhouse School of Public Communications, and aspired to have a career in Public Relations. Camp Lokanda in Glen Spey, NY held a special place in her heart, and the friends she made in her 7 summers there were like sisters to her. She danced at Michele’s Dance Studio for 14 years and was a member of their competition dance team.
Annie was an active member of every community she was a part of. At LHS she was incredibly proud to be a cast member of AM Wired, the daily TV broadcast at school. Most recently, she was a member of Sigma Delta Tau Sorority, PR Director of Fetch Collective Magazine at Syracuse University, a member of Women in Communications and Public Relations Student Society of America, a Newhouse ambassador, a DJ on the Syracuse University Radio Station, amongst other things. She was exceptionally proud to be a Gift of Life Ambassador on campus, encouraging students to join the bone marrow registry.
Annie was always smiling, with a witty sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She loved parties, trendy restaurants, watching rom-coms and never passed up a great dessert. She was obsessed with reality TV and all things pop culture, and filled her free time watching, listening to podcasts and reading articles about it.
Over the past 12 years, Annie was fervent supporter of Cycle for Survival and held her annual cookie sale to raise money and awareness for rare cancer research. She never met Cycle for Survival founder Jennifer Goodman Linn, but was inspired by her passionate efforts to raise money and was dedicated to the cause. We ask that everyone please continue Annie’s work by making a donation to Cycle for Survival at: http://mskcc.convio.net/goto/AnnieBlairEisner
