She was born and raised in Verona, before moving to Bloomfield, New Jersey.
“Annie” met her husband Anthony Ponzio and married in 1944. She worked for Schering Pharmaceuticals for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and raising her five children. Spending time with her family was the most important part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Frank Aldiero; her beloved husband, Anthony of 55 years as well as her son, Anthony, Jr.; sisters Jennie Riccobono, Sadie Mazzella; brothers Nicholas, Joseph and Frank Aldiero.
Anne is survived by her children, Rosalie DeMasi (Ralph), Roxanne Gioseffi (Danny), MaryLouise D’Ambroso (Richard), Peter Ponzio (Nancy) as well as her loving grandchildren. great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her sister Maryann Flannery (Jack) and sister-in-law Barbara Aldiero.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4-8pm at LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, New Jersey. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 11am at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 63 Franklin Street, Belleville, New Jersey, with interment to immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Bloomfield, New Jersey.
