Wanda M Young

Wanda Marette White Young, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away into Eternal Life January 3, 2020. She was born January 11, 1931 in Norman, AR to the late Bernice and J.E. White. She was preceded in death by her parents, her adoring husband, Bob, and her son, Jimmy Young. She leaves behind her daughters Glenda Merchant (Rusty), Donna Goss (Jim), Diana Ragsdale (Randy); grandchildren Heather Hendrix (Brad), Robert Brent Goetz, Melissa Lau (Bill), Jennifer Goss, Rachel Racop (Ryan) and William Ragsdale; and five great grandchildren.

Wanda loved to keep up with current events and many a lively discussion was held around the kitchen table on politics and local news. She enjoyed her bridge clubs, fishing, and cooking for large family gatherings for weekends and holidays. Wanda was a big football fan, keeping up with the Razorbacks and the Cowboys. She was able to travel extensively with Bob including attending Super Bowls.

The Bible teaches us that the greatest gift is Love and she shared this gift daily. She loved God and her Church. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her caregivers. We will miss her.

The family will receive visitors on Monday January 6, 2020 from 10am. to 11am. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held immediately following at 11:45am. at Lonoke Cemetery.
