Maude "Amy" Lee, age 47, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed through to Heaven on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Amy had written in her Bible, "If I can't speak words, God take me home" and she had a massive stroke that paved the way for God to honor her request, but not before she got to talk non-stop with all her family & friends for two days! Amy was also an organ donor and had a Living Will so through ARORA was blessed to give the Gift of Life! 🦋
Amy was born on Halloween - October 31, 1975 in Little Rock, Arkansas to William "Bill" Conway Lee & Maureen Ooton Lee. Amy had beloved grandparents, Maureen's parents John Ooton Sr & Maude Ooton of Worden, IL and Conway Lee & Sally Lee of Little Rock, Arkansas. She was named after one Gma & loved to dance with the other Gma. Amy was the miracle baby that all the family celebrated!
Amy is survived by her Godmother Cheryl Ferguson & her husband Bill Ferguson of Benld, IL and many family members and friends that love her dearly. Amy was also the bonus daughter of Walt Henschel & Allison Henschel of Maumelle, AR where she was one of 14 children and always busy going to school, working, enjoying the pool where she learned to hold her breath and float, planting a garden, going to Branson & The Beach, and seeing all her friends.
Amy was baptized & raised to walk a New Life at St Andrew's Methodist Church when she was 16. She was also a member of Cedar Heights Baptist church for many years and especially loved Wednesday night suppers and Bible study.
Amy went to Hall High School, and she worked at Bonanza & Ryan's as a server. As Amy's disabilities became harder, she was accepted at Easter Seals Center for Training and Wellness and continued to serve & help others. She loved reading to the adults and children, was a team supervisor to clean all the tables after lunch, and enjoyed being a cheerleader! Amy had wonderful Supportive Living companions through Integrity, Inc. and the most awesome van drivers, so was able to be as independent as possible throughout her life and was loved by everyone that met her.
We can all be part of Amy's Team, and share our gifts & talents and our laughter & joy with this world. In Amy's last words, "Count your Blessings, Name them One by One!"
I can do ALL things through Christ who Strengthens Me! - Philippian's 4:13
