Ursela Eva Zeno, 99, of Little Rock passed away December 3, 2024. She was born in Berlin, Germany, to the late Rose (Ruben) and Harry Kramer. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Zeno; grandson, Matthew Zeno; and daughter-in-law, Mitzi Zeno.
Eva was a Holocaust survivor, demonstrating incredible strength and resilience during her time in Germany. At the age of 14, she immigrated to the United States aboard the SS Manhattan. Throughout her life, she continued to embody that courage, becoming a dedicated Holocaust educator and speaker, sharing her story with others to preserve the memory of those lost.
Despite the hardships and trauma she endured, Eva remained a source of light and love to everyone around her. She was known for her outgoing personality and formed deep, lasting friendships with a close-knit group of people whom she cherished. Eva was also an active member of Synagogue Agudath Achim, where she remained involved in her community
Eva is survived by her children, Michael Zeno, Eddy (Laurie Snyder) Zeno, and Adelyn (Joel) Belsky; grandchildren, Mallory (Dr. Paul) Szefler, Dr. Jennifer (Rob Knauer) Belsky, and Katelyn Zeno; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Cooper, Zoey, Johnathan, and Samantha; as well as numerous close friends and extended family.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home. Eva will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Oakland Jewish Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested to be made to Synagogue Agudath Achim in Eva’s memory.
