Debbie Bohlken of Little Rock passed away on December 11,2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darryl Bohlken & Gertrude Merkel Bohlken, her sisters Karel Bohlken McClellar and Mary Ann Bohlken. Debbie is survived by her husband, John Donald Croft, son, Alex Morozov (Gwen), grandchildren, Daniel, Micah, and Daria Morozov.
Debbie was born in Alaska and raised in Little Rock,AR. She graduated from Parkview High School and obtained her BA and MSW from the University of Arkansas. After a very successful career with Systematics, Debbie ran a consulting business and then later founded Claudia’s Canine Cuisine.
She loved golden retrievers, cocker spaniels, king cavaliers, shopping, and Don, depending on the day of the week, and the mood she was in. Debbie attitude about buying “stuff” was “shop ‘til you drop,” and telling us how much money she saved.
Debbie battled cancer from the age of nineteen on. Few people realized how much pain she was in or how much mental toughness she possessed. Throughout their life together, Don was the rock that Debbie leaned on. His care for her was unsurpassed. Whether doctors’ appointments, hospital stays, or daily living, Don was there for Debbie when she needed him the most. When Debbie was told she would have to undergo dialysis, she bought a new car. She said “If I have to do that, I’m doing it in style”. Debbie lived her life with grace, determination, true friendship, love, and yes, style.
The family would like to thank Debbie’s Bible Study group and those who knew her for their many prayers and well wishes. They also thank the many medical professionals who cared for Debbie throughout her life. She will be sorely missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, https://warmhearts.org/memorial-gifts/
