William “Sandy” A. Woody, age 76, of Little River, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Born on January 19, 1948, in Wilmington, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William Waldo and Beth Rogers Woody.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Debra Norris Woody and his sister, Lucia Woody. He was preceded in death by his parents.
An avid golfer, Sandy was very competitive and loved sports. He was a graduate of Tabor City High School and was a member of every sports team throughout high school. Sandy had a passion for history and geography. He graduated from Gilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina with a bachelor’s in history.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory.
