Virginia Lowe Berry

Mrs. Virginia Lowe Berry, age 90, of Little River, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. She was born on August 31, 1933 in Dewesville, Texas. Virginia was the first daughter of Leroy S. Harp and Lena H. Ewers Harp. She had six siblings, and they were raised in Alice, Texas.

Virginia was a very sweet, graceful, caring and beautiful woman. These attributes were noticed by everyone who knew her. She loved Jesus and was fully persuaded to love like Jesus….every single day.

Virginia was survived by her husband of almost six years, John Wess Berry; her two daughters, Brenda Lowe McCord and Sherry Lowe Moss (Francis); her brother, Melvin Harp (Norma); her sisters, Shirley Kauffman, Marie Nunley and Janet Harp; her two grandchildren, Kristy Jeffreys and CiCi Moss; her four great-grandchildren, Sky Schmidt, Cristevon Schmidt, Zion Schmidt and GiAnna Wertheimer. She had a step-son, John Berry (Wess’ son), step-daughter-in-law, Kim, and two step-granddaughters, Maya and Sienna, who were blessings in Virginia’s life.

Virginia is predeceased by her first husband of 64-1/2 years, Johnny H. Lowe, the father of her two daughters; her two brothers, Lloyd Harp and Jerry Harp; and her granddaughter, Heidi Dees, daughter of Sherry Moss.

A service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 12:00 noon, at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, where she worshipped for many years. Grace is located at 1223 State Highway 57 N, Little River, SC 29566.
