WOW!
I was the chosen baby of Glenn and Edna Bretsch. They picked me out (I smiled at my dad) at two months and they brought me home at five months just in time for Christmas.
I had music in my life for the happiest moments and the saddest moments and all the other moments in between.
- I sang in the car with Mom and Dad.
- I got to take piano lessons!
- I got to take flute lessons!
- I sang in Church Choirs everywhere I lived! (Pine Grove
Methodist Church – Junior and Senior Choir Fishkill
Methodist Church!
- I also played in the Bell Choir at First Reformed Church of
Fishkill!
- I even got to play my flute with the choir of Ocean Drive
Presbyterian Church, N. Myrtle Beach
- With my three High School Choirs (Concert, Girls Choir
and Select Choir), I got to sing at the World’s Fair in NY.
- For the past 5 years I’ve sung in the All-City Choir of N.
Myrtle Beach doing Christmas Cantatas and Fourth of July
Cantata.
- AND I played the flute (with much laughter) with the
Faculty Band at Brinkerhoff Elementary School.
I got to be a camp counselor for seven summers (High School and college) at Ben Beckers camp Nassau he was Muhammad Ali's Olympic boxing coach, I taught swimming for the first summer and then was the counselor for the Seminole Girls (5 year old on their way to First Grade)
I got my love of gardening from Mom (flowers) and Dad (vegetables).
I had my own vegetable garden by seven or eight years old and I grew tomatoes in North Myrtle Beach.
My first project as a volunteer at the North Strand Housing Shelter was creating a butterfly garden with the ladies of the shelter and two of their children.
I had faith in my life another gift for mom and dad growing up in a church family with Sunday school church suppers map of youth fellowship as an adult I was blessed by close relationships with favorite Pastors (David Houston, Gloria McCanna, Rod Koopmans, Peter Durkee, Steve Brown, Eric Titus and Darrell Bush)
I WAS BORN TO BE A TEACHER!!!
