Sheila Reid Dewey

Sheila Reid Dewey, 53, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2020, at her home.

Born on November, 28, 1966, in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Wilbern and Violet Davis Reid.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister. Her granddaughters were her life. She fought a courageous battle with cancer to the end. Sheila was employed as a mental health technician at Lighthouse Behavioral Hospital.

Survivors include her children, Jerry “Lee” Walker, Jr. and Kristain “Sissy” Walker; three brothers, Danny Reid (Denise), Darrell Reid (Sue), and Doug Reid (Pat); one sister, Sharon Reid Starnes (Vic); two grandchildren, Gracie and Layla Mishoe; and several nieces and nephews. Sheila is predeceased by maternal grandmother, Irene Davis Spry; paternal grandmother Cora Reid Lail; infant sister, Roxie Reid; brother, David Reid.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
