Margaret (Graham) Stieve, RN, of North Myrtle Beach, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at home with her family by her side. Born in Baltimore, MD on June 28, 1940, Margaret was a daughter of the late Rev. Andrew and Nellie Graham. She was the faithful and loving wife of Raymond “Ray” Stieve. She was the sister of the late Rev. Thomas Graham, survived by his wife Anna (Green) Graham of Baltimore, MD. She is survived by her sister Nancy (Graham) Parks and her husband Allan, of Simpsonville, SC.
Margaret graduated from Albany Medical Center School of Nursing. She went on to work at Albany Medical Center and then for the State of NY as a Registered Nurse. She was an active church member. She participated in numerous church and civic groups including Risen Christ’s Braille Ministry, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Mobile Meals of Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach Turtle Patrol and other Christian children and youth ministries throughout her life. She was an avid singer in churches and community choirs. She was also a tenor drummer with the Schenectady Pipe Band and the Myrtle Beach Regional Pipe Band. Most importantly, she was a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ and had a strong desire to spread the Gospel to others.
Surviving are her children, Gretchen Cole and husband Richard of Northville, NY, Kirsten Dyer of Guilderland, NY and Janeen Boone and husband James of Little River, SC.
She was affectionately known as Nana to her grandchildren: Samantha VanSchoick, Eric VanSchoick, Kamryn Dyer, Logan Dyer, Elijah Smith, Lia Smith, Phoebe Cole, Jeremiah Cole, Nathaniel Boone and Ciara Boone. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Risen Christ Lutheran Church, 10595 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.
