Larry W. Jones

Larry Wayne Jones, 76, of Longs, SC, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday March 30, 2021.

A native of Greenville, SC he was a proud veteran of the United States Army and Vietnam Era. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was a member of LordsWay Baptist Church in Little River, SC and an alumni of Carolina High School in Greenville, SC Class of 1963.

Larry loved to be outside enjoying the warm air and cool breeze. He was an avid sports fan and favorite teams included the SC Gamecocks, the Green Bay Packers, the LA Dodgers and the LA Lakers. He loved to talk to people and never met a stranger; and would never fail to bring a smile to their face. He was well loved by his family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Surviving family includes his loving wife of 52 years Sandra Strickland Jones of Longs, SC; brothers Rodger D. Jones of Gray Court, SC and Steve Jones (Lisa) of Simpsonville, SC; 5 nieces, Jessica, Cheri, Chelsea, Angela and Sarah and a nephew Mark; a daughter Kimberly Jones Ellison (Jeremy) of Taylors, SC; a son Allen Wayne Jones of Simpsonville, SC; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (James), Ashley, Jasmyn, Dalton, and Kamryn; 5 great grandchildren: Hunter, Layla, Alyssa, Aleigha, and Kirra.

Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his father Haskell K. Jones and mother

Beatrice M. Jones both formerly of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Kenneth Haskell and James Robert Jones, both formerly of Greenville, SC.

Memorial Service will be Wednesday, April 7th at 2:00 pm at LordsWay Baptist Church, 201 Greenvillage Road, Little River, SC 29566.
