Karen was smart, witty, driven, funny and very maternal.  She loved her Larry and family so much!  She had a contagious smile.  She was a fantastic supervisor and a true friend.  I called her "Chief" at work.  Her staff were her warriors.  I miss and think of her every day...  Prayers continue for her family and friends.

Such a beautiful celebration for such a beautiful lady. From Larry’s heartfelt memories and love for his soul mate Karen; to Dylan’s tales of discipline and special kisses and Alyse’s beautiful voice fulfilling her mother’s wish each moment was filled with joy and respect for a woman who loved her family. Karen has meant so much to my family over the years. I know the pain that her family is in losing her way too early in life. I will to continue to pray for peace and comfort during this most difficult time.

Knowing and working with Karen made me a better person. For that I am forever grateful. 

Karen made a huge impact on me. I met her in 2017 when I started at CEG. I still look for her truck every morning I pull into work. I miss my "love notes" about collections from her. She taught me so much about insurance. Still to this day, when making some decisions, all of us at CEG-LR ask "What would Hamilton do?" Karen always had the answers!!!  She is missed greatly, but I know she is watching over all of us. So glad she is no longer suffering. 💜💜💜

Karen you will be truly missed.  I have enjoyed knowing and working with you. Your smile is contagious and your kindness to always help someone will not be forgotten. I will miss your laugh and seeing you at the Christmas parties.  Thank you for always helping me.  I will miss you!   Rest high and enjoy the pearly gates.

Karen and I were friends as pré-teens and teens while growing up. I’m from Conestoga, Pa. she used to come over for sleepovers with all us girls at my house. We also went to church camp together in the summers. I have photos of us together being very silly. In some we are doing handstands in my yard collapsing on each other. For a while Karen was taking modeling lessons and she taught us all how to do the runway walk.  She was so pretty and I enjoyed her so much. We lost touch for a while, but we reconnected via Facebook. She never mentioned she was ill and I will miss her. Sending love.

To the family " Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal".
 Karen would sent e-mails about billing errors and how to correct them, and I called her and said "Hey Karen can you send a job well done e-mail sometime to offset the errors" . No sooner said than done , :) the next few were just that  " great job, have a great day, looking good at MB location.  She was just that kinda person.  We really connected . Gone but not forgotten.

Hamilton Family, May you find comfort in God’s promise at Revelation 21:3,4. “God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things has passed away.”

Karen was an exceptional person and I loved working and learning from her.  I admired and respected her so much.  She came to my rescue many times at Coastal Eye Group.  There is no one like Karen.  I will miss her dearly.   Thoughts and prayers to her family during this difficult time.  

I worked with Karen for 20 years at CEG.  She was a great coworker, more importantly she was my friend. Karen had a smile for everyone  and was one of the kindest and sweetest ladies I have ever met.  She was a beautiful soul inside and out.  She loved God , her 
husband, family, friends and her job at Coastal Eye Group.  She is surely going to be missed.  My prayers to Larry and the family. Rest in peace my friend.

Karen was my co-worker, mentor and friend. I always strive to do my job "how Karen would do it". She used to send out emails to co-workers who needed to follow up on items she requested and we called them "Love Letters from Karen". She got a kick out of that. She is missed each and every day and will live in our happy memories of her forever. 

Karen’s presence will be deeply missed at Coastal Eye Group. Karen was such a hard working, dependable, positive, and trustworthy  colleague. She always had an answer for any of my insurance questions. I could always trust Karen to get the job done correctly. It will be impossible to fill the void we all feel at CEG but our loving memories of our dear friend and coworker will help us heal. Much love and prayers for her husband and family. We are here for you during this very difficult time. We loved Karen like family and will cherish all of our wonderful memories together at CEG. 

💔 Karen was the best boss. 

Intelligent, humble, strong, dedicated, understanding, patient, caring, motivated, fair, decisive, kind, a true team player, and so much more. 

She was the first boss I've ever had who has said to me, "Family first, job second. Take care of your family." - and she meant that 100%.

She always asked how my dad was doing, even after she was informed about her own diagnosis.

Toward the end, working with such pain solidified her complete dedication to the practice she spent 20 years with.

I miss her very much and I only hope I can make her proud. I still can't believe she's gone. Too fast. Too soon. There is so much more I want to talk to her about.

My heart goes out to her family and friends. The short time I was blessed to know her doesn't begin to compare to the people she loved so much. 

What an incredible woman, to leave such a positive mark on so many people. ❤

Karen will be truly missed by her friends and family. Coastal Eye Group was blessed to have such a dedicated and loyal employee. She was the epitome of professionalism, a true "company girl" as we heard so many times. Karen's vast knowledge will live on through those she trained and mentored throughout her career. We shared so many laughs and life experiences over the years and I am going to miss my colleague and friend. She loved her family dearly and we often shared fun stories about our grands. Your life was a blessing and your memory will be a treasure for all of us. Her song may have ended but her melody lingers... 

We will all miss Karen's smile, and sharing our friendship. We enjoyed alot of memories over the 17 yrs we shared at CEG.  No one will ever demonstrate a better work ethic than Karen. She always set the standard high, whether it was work, family or friend related. I will miss her, and our a little chats we had, when I passed her office. Love you always.

I have know Karen and her family since I was a little kid! I will always remember her great hugs and beautiful bright smile! She will be missed dearly! 

Though it's been since high school --  40 years -- since I saw Karen, I still remember thinking, "If I could have a sister, she'd be just like Karen." 

She reached out on FB 2 years ago. We chatted and she encouraged me with a project I had going on related to writing -- I recall she was an excellent writer.

I can't imagine the loss to family and those who know her better.  

Though scripture can feel like "just words" at such a time, we know it's eternal, as is our true being. I can only guess that's why Loved Ones bookended the tribute video with scripture. While not guaranteed a tomorrow, we are guaranteed in Christ an eternity reunited without tears. 

Karen will be greatly missed. Her smile and upbeat attitude will be fondly remembered by all. Love and miss her. 

Larry,  Dylan, Alyse and Family,  Karen will be forever missed. I will miss her laugh, her smile and her love.  We will see her around the corner.....want to call her to talk....but we can't.  Oh. ...but we can always talk to her and we will!  Always in our hearts....Love you Karen.

I worked with Karen for almost 15 years at Coastal Eye Group. Over the years we  joked in the Myrtle Beach office that we know Karen must have a CEG tattoo  somewhere because of her dedication to the practice.  She has always been our go to person for everything.  Her CEG family will miss her terribly!  We already do!  She was an amazing lady!


Karen was a very sweet, friendly,  caring, and beautiful person. She had such a sunny and vibrant personality. We met through our love of our dogs.  May you smile through all your tears as you remember all those happy and precious years. Although you and Karen are apart we know her spirit and memory will live on eternally in your heart. I have so many memories of Karen over the years. I'll miss having someone so smart to give me support when my brain is overloaded. She often had to "borrow" my colorful passwords. They always made her laugh.  We always said love you when we hung up. I'll miss her so.

I had the pleasure of working with this amazing, friend, wife, mother and grandmother. She was so proud of her family. She loved unconditionally. Karen was taken to soon but God needed another angel.  My condolences to Larry,Dylan, Alyse and the rest of the Family. I pray that God will give them comfort in this time. I will cherish all the memories of Karen she was such a fun person to be around.  Rest in peace my friend. 


    Karen has brought a lot of joy to my life.  She was a great friend!
     We met at work. You couldn’t ask for a better co-worker, always dependable, supportive, and very smart.
     She was hardworking at whatever she was involved in, whether it be her job, her home, her family, her exercising, her yard, and her beautiful flowers.
     Family was very important to her.  And I am so thankful for her being there for me and my family when my kids were getting married.  
     Recently, we reconnected and were able to just  take up where we left off.  We enjoyed catching up on our families, kids and grandkids.
     I will miss her, but I am hopeful we will be reunited in heaven because of Jesus’ words.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life and does not come into judgement, but has passed out of death into life.” John 5:24

Karen and I had to go to Columbia for computer training on medical reports for two days.  We stayed at a Comfort Inn and got in at night on a Thursday.  We were both sound asleep and around 2:00 in the morning the room shook and all you could hear was the horn of that Train just coming thru the room! There was Karen in her bed just snoring away and I was ........WIDE awake.   Karen you will always be in my heart .  I will talk to you a lot sweet Angel.

I am so sad losing a great friend. Karen was always so sweet and kind to everyone she met. We all have a special Angel in heaven . Karen you will be missed by all of us. God Bless and wrap his arms around your family. You are all in my prayers.
