John Luther Breeden, III passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, in a tragic accident.
He was born October 22, 1976, in North Myrtle Beach, SC to John L. Breeden, Jr. and Sylvia Floyd Breeden.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his 3 beautiful children, John L. Breeden, IV “Luke”, Scarlet Finley Breeden, and Knox Paul Breeden; a sister, Jessica Palmer (William) of Little River; 2 nephews, Townsend Smith and Will Palmer; 2 nieces, Markley Smith and Sarah Palmer.
John was the Vice President of Commercial Banking at First Palmetto Bank in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was a graduate of Charleston Southern University. He served the community by being a member of the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, North Myrtle Beach Rotary Club, North Strand Ducks Unlimited, and the Surf Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and grew up hunting and fishing with his dad and continued that legacy with his own children. John had a gentle spirit, an infectious smile, never met a stranger and he has a family that loves him more than anyone will ever know.
Visitation will be held at Lee Funeral Home Friday, February 18, 2022, from 5 pm until 7 pm. John will Lie in State from 11 am until funeral services, which will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 706 14th Avenue South, North Myrtle Beach, SC. There will be a graveside service following the funeral service at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens, 65 Hwy. 90, Little River, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the John Breeden III, Children’s Fund at First Palmetto Bank, Myrtle Beach C/O Tim Hudson.
