James Martin Dixon, Jr., age 80, of Longs, South Carolina passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, November 7, 2022. Born In Washington, DC on April 13, 1942 he was the son of the late James M. Dixon, Sr. and Doris R. Dixon.
He is survived by his sons; Darrell Dixon (Janet Bagby), Scott Dixon; daughter, Kimberly Dixon (Shawn Aldridge); along with one grandson, Jeremy Dixon. He was preceded in death by his parents along with his beloved wife, Barbara Sue Dixon and his son, Richard Dixon.
In his younger years, James was a major sports fan who loved football and golfing. James was also an Army veteran who served his country from 1962 to 1965. He and his wife Barbara retired to the Myrtle Beach area from Maryland in 2008.
