Jacqueline A. Wolford

It is with great sadness to announce that Jacqueline A. Wolford, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home on May 12, 2022. Born in New Buckenham, United Kingdom to Richard and Ada Elsdon on January 2, 1941, Jacky was the middle child of five siblings.

While visiting family in the United States, Jacky met the love of her life, Don Wolford. They married September 16, 1961 and were fortunate enough to celebrate almost 58 years together.

Jacky was a devoted wife, a caring mother, proud grandmother, loving great-grandmother and faithful friend. Her family and friends were the cornerstone of her life. She always put family first and was a living example of “Mothers are a gift from heaven who God uses to demonstrate his love for all children.” Everyone who knew Jacky knew that she was an extremely kind, loving, gentle and peaceful person, and that she loved her family very much. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

She is survived by her son, Dean Wolford (spouse Kathy); grandson, Bryan Wolford (spouse Sierra); granddaughter, Brittany Wolford (significant other Brian Lods); great-grandson, Liam and great-granddaughter, Harlynn. She is also survived by her two sisters, Ann Baedle of East Dereham, Norfolk, UK and Sylvia Baxley of Goldsboro, NC; and her brother John Elsdon of East Dereham, Norfolk, UK; along with nieces and nephews and many close friends who were like family to her.

Jacky is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wolford; parents Richard and Ada Elsdon; and brother Paul Elsdon.

Memorial service will be May 20, 2022 at 2pm at Lee Funeral Home, 11840 Hwy 90, Little River, SC 29566. Family will receive guests immediately afterwards at 2486 Burning Tree Lane, Little River, SC 29566.
