Caleb Scott Smith, 13, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born on May 12, 2002 in High Point, NC, he was the son of Ellis Scott and Lisa McGee Smith.
Caleb attended North Myrtle Beach Christian School where he played soccer and basketball. He was a member of Waterbrook Community Church and was very active in the youth group. He was an avid skateboarder, loved music and his little sister, Hannah. Caleb was tender hearted, cared for others even if they were strangers. He was courageous in leading others to Christ. His love for others was only rivaled by his love of his great-grandfather, “Paw”, Clarence Sink.
Other than his parents of Carolina Shores, Caleb is survived by his sister, Hannah Ruth Smith; maternal grandparents, Linda H. Trogdon (Larry) and Carolyn and Jim Wall; paternal grandparents, Jerry T. Smith (Judy); great-grandfather, Clarence Sink; uncle, Anderson T. Smith (Lynn); cousins, Bailey & Landon Smith, God parents, Kenny and Deborah Greenway.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, February 13 at Waterbrook Community Church. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday at Ground Zero, 904 Chester Street, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577, officiated by Kenny Greenway.
