Mrs. Shirley Mae Scott

Shirley Mae Scott, 90, of Naperville and formerly of Hannibal, MO, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2022. She was born in Hannibal to the late Ira and Thelma (nee Meadows) Banks, and spent much of her life there before moving to Winfield.

She met and married the love of her life, Gould Alvin Scott, with whom she had her beloved daughter Laura Jo (Peter) Petramale.

Shirley was dedicated to and heavily involved in her Lutheran Church; she also enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, and scrapbooking. One of her greatest pride and joys was her family; spending time with them and with her friends brought her so much joy.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Laura (Peter) Petramale, and her grandchildren Justin, Alicia, and Aaron Petramale, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Ira Banks and her siblings John Banks, Marjorie Garrett, and Frederick Banks.

A visitation for Shirley will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
