Rose was born the fourth of six siblings, and grew up in Chicago, Illinois. Despite being known as “the quiet one” in her family, Rose had an adventurous streak and lived independently upon adulthood, even taking the daring step of vacationing in Mexico with her girlfriends. Rose met her husband, Jerome, at work and they married in 1965. She moved to Woodridge, Illinois, in 1968, where she and her husband raised their children and remained until her death. Rose was a devoted mother and homemaker. She felt that she was meant to be a caregiver and gave generously of herself and her time, caring for her family, neighbors, and friends throughout her life.
Rose was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Rose is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Jerome Kuderna; children, Louise (Ray) Arquilla, and Jerome J. (Erica) Kuderna; grandchildren, Elysse, Isabella, Idallis, Ella and Josef; and her two sisters, Alice Mrozinski and Judy Restivo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Grodesky; brothers, Donald and Edward Grodesky; and sister Elizabeth “Betty” Karceski.
