Lynne L Shultes

Lynne Lucile (nee Lavin) Shultes, passed away August 20, 2024 at age 76. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Claude Gordon Shultes, her son, Claude James (C.J.) Shultes, his wife, Allison Shultes, and their children Christopher Shultes, Catalina Shultes, and Nicholas, Cadence, and Maighan DuBois, and her daughter, Claudine Danielle (Dani) Vent, nee Shultes, her husband, John Vent and their children James, Matthew, Corinne, and Allyse Vent. She was a devoted daughter to the late James P. Lavin and Elenora A. (nee Szadokierski) Lavin and a dear sister to Ellen (Kirk) Roberts, Leslie (Jessie) Lavin, and Patrick (Judy) Lavin. She was a fond daughter-in-law of the late Claude and Muriel Shultes, and sister-in-law to Claudette (nee Shultes) Reeves, late Lana (nee Shultes) Salvatore, and Susan (nee Shultes) Ford-Coates. She was a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Lynne worked many years in administration, was a homemaker while raising her children, and was also a hardworking landlord. She was a passionate gardener, very talented seamstress, a wonderful cook and baker, and she loved to dance the jitterbug with her husband. She loved her family immensely, was a good friend who listened and laughed, and cared deeply for the wellbeing of others, especially children. She was someone who loved her life and she made a difference in all lives that she touched. She was worth knowing and remembering.

Family and friends will gather for services for Lynne that will be held at Blake Lamb Funeral Home in Lisle, Illinois on September 5th, 2024, from 4 - 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Lynne to St Jude Children's Research Hospital-Chicagoland/Northern Illinois, or to any (pancreatic) cancer research organization of your choice.
