John Dennis FitzGerald

John was born to John G. and Jane (Brown) FitzGerald on September 29th 1946 in Evanston, IL. An independent and vibrant personality from the beginning, John enjoyed fishing, and the game of baseball. John graduated from Glenbard West high school.

After graduating from Glenbard West in 1964 he began a career as a Sheetmetal Worker. Shortly after beginning his career, John met Janice Jungblut at Wheaton, IL.

John was drafted into the United States Army in 1968 and was sent off to the Vietnam war. After returning home, he married Janice Jungblut on August 8th, 1970.

John retired after 40 years in the Sheetmetal Union. After retirement, John enjoyed spending time with his family.

John is survived by his son, Jason, wife Alissa, grandchildren, Daniel, Sean, Ava, and Jack. His daughter, Amy, husband, Ben, grandchild, Tyler. Predeceased by father, John, Mother, Jane, and wife, Janice.

We request all of John’s loved ones to join us in celebrating his wonderful life at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home in Lisle, Illinois on March 18th, 2024 at 11am.
