George R. Strickle

George Reed Strickle, age 88, of Downers Grove, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Beloved son of the late George R. and Josephine G. Strickle. Loving father of Carrie (Andy) Strickle - Healy and George (Lisa) Strickle. Cherished grandfather of Paul (Jana) Strickle and Jessica (Jarid) Bush. Great grandfather of Walter, Timothy, Jacob, Brayden, and Taylynn. Dear brother of Henry Yeager, Marion Hahn, Lorraine Kluga, Grace Marsik, Rosemarie Solin and Melba Rausch. He had many loving nieces, nephews and a special friend, the mother of his children, Sharon Greenwood along with many other dear friends.

George was a very jovial and clever man who could never let an opportunity go by without getting a good laugh out of you with his quick wit. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A memorial visitation for George will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Service 1:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave., Lisle. Interment at Bohemian National Cemetery will take place privately.
