Roxanne Jean Yates

Roxanne Jean Yates, daughter, mother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, July 24th inside her home in Lisbon. She was born March 2, 1970 to Shirley and James Rossignol of Fairfield. Roxanne completed her high school education and graduated from Lewiston High School, class of 1988. After completing high school, she proudly served our country by joining the United States Marine Corps where she received an honorable discharge. A proud and loving mother, Roxanne has two children, Kayla Yates and Tyler Yates of Lisbon. She is also the sister of Janice Rossignol, and great niece of Nancy Arbour, Reed Thibodeau and Joe Thibodeau of Waterville Roxanne was predeceased by her father James Rossignol and beloved brother James Rossignol Junior Roxanne had the love and support of long time friend, Doreen Morgan of Lewiston for 25 years. Vicky Libby of South Paris was also a highly esteemed friend and confidant. Roxanne enjoyed activities such as scrapbooking, gardening, decorating and simply relaxing on the beach. She was a member of Pathway Vineyard Church in Lewiston and enjoyed being involved in life groups there. Funeral Notice: Yates, Roxanne Jean, passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, July 24th inside her home in Lisbon. A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday July 28, 2011 at the Pathway Vineyard Church 12 Foss Rd. Lewiston. Interment will be held 1:00 pm Monday August, 1st at Maine Veterans Cemetery Mt. Vernon Rd Augusta. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the children of Roxanne at any TD Bank branch titled “The Roxanne Yates Memorial Fund”.
