South Paris - Robert B. Houle, 75, formerly of Lisbon, passed away on Tuesday October 3, 2017 in South Paris, Maine at The Maine Veterans Home. He was born on April 4, 1942, a son of the late Marcel and Rose A. (Pinette) Houle. He served his country for 20 years before retiring in 1983 as a Master Sargent. During part of those 20 years he was a recruiter in both Lewiston and Portland. On May 1, 1965, he married the love of his life, Lorraine Banville in Lisbon, Maine at St. Ann's Church. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lisbon Falls. He was also a founding member of "Helping Hands Fellowship", Left Hand Club and Lisbon Snowmobilers Club. Robert loved tinkering and helping others using many of the skills he acquired over his life. He was a good father, husband and neighbor to all who were in need. Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lorraine (Banville) Houle, his son: Robert Houle of Boston, Massachusetts, 3 sisters: Claudette Fisher and husband Adolph, Georgette Doyon, Claire Morin and husband Paul, 2 brothers: Richard Houle and wife Arlene, Peter Houle and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son: David Houle who passed away 2 weeks after being born.
