Roger was born on August 31st, 1957 to O. Roger Levesque Sr and Madelyn Doboga Levesque.
Those that knew Roger would describe him as a family man deeply rooted in his faith. They would say that there is nothing that he would not do for his family or friends, at any hour of the day. If there was a need, he was there. And if you knew Roger, you were already part of his family. Roger was the true definition of what it means to be a great husband, father, brother, friend and Bumpa.
Roger was a graduate of Lisbon High School. Shortly after he met the love of his life, Carol Atwood at a New Year’s party where he snuck in a kiss and then said he needed another. They’ve been smooching ever since. They were married April 24, 1981 and together they raised 5 children: Casey, Andrew, Erica, Kassie and Christopher. Roger had a passion for helping those in need. Over the years, they welcomed dozens upon dozens of children into their home that were in the foster care system. He did his best to show them compassion and understanding in their time of need.
Roger worked at BIW starting as a crane operator and working his way up into management in the safety and health department. From there, he went to Somatex where he was promoted to Vice President. After a brief return to BIW as a Principal Project Manager, he ended his working career as the Environmental, Safety and Health Manager at Tex Tech Industries, retiring in 2021.
Roger was an avid outdoorsman. He found great comfort and peace when he was in the woods hunting or getting a fishing line wet. He was also the guy that could fix anything. Whether it was a broken appliance, or something as earth shattering as a scraped knee, he could always make it better. To Roger, there was no better time spent, than time spent with his family.
Roger was predeceased by his father, O. Roger Levesque Sr, his mother Madelyn Levesque, his sister Dori Galgovitch, his father-in-law Lewis Atwood, his father-in-law Paul Black and his brother-in-law Bob Fleury.
Roger is survived by his beautiful and loving bride Carol Levesque of Durham. His children: Casey Alves and her husband Nathaniel of Lisbon, Andrew Levesque and his wife Averie of Lisbon, Erica Levesque and her husband Justin of Bowdoin, Kassie Levesque and her partner Tyler Alley of Bath, and Christopher Levesque of Lisbon Falls; his sisters Debby Purinton and her husband Allan of Durham, Lynn Thompson and her husband Ralph of Lisbon Falls, LuAnn Fleury of Lisbon Falls, Patti Moore and her husband Harry of Lisbon; his sister-in-laws Karen Smith of Lewiston, Louann Bisson and her husband Marc of Sabattus, Bonny Hartnett and her husband Kevin of Sabattus, Debbie Daggett and her husband Steve of Sabattus, and many nieces and nephews that were loved like children.
