Michelle Wunder FitzGerald. 52 years young of Austin, TX and Mashpee, MA lost her courageous battle with cancer on June 30, 2021 surrounded by loved ones at the place she loved on Cape Cod. Michelle was born in Brunswick, Maine on March 12, 1969, one of five children to Rosemarie (Patrizio) Wunder and the late Arthur Wunder. They enjoyed many beautiful sunsets at their vacation home (Michelle’s happy place) in Mashpee, MA. Michelle was an avid and enthusiastic horseback rider and loved nothing more than spending time riding and caring for her horses, Valdon and Dickens. Her Bengal cats Marble and Gronk were her constant entertainment and companions especially during this past year. Although they lived abroad and outside of New England, Michelle never lost her love of New England sports teams and especially attending games at Fenway Park. Always looking to do more, Michelle was a volunteer for Honor Flight, and hosted fundraising events and accompanied veterans on their Honor Flight activities. She also participated and fundraised for Reid’s Ride, a Cancer Research Fund supporting young adults.
