Jaime Enrique Ramirez Jaimes, beloved husband and father and a true self-made man passed on June 21, 2022. An intelligence officer that recounted his tales from the seas and a transportation conglomerate executive, who later practiced law, created his own political party, wrote award-winning poetry, founded a newspaper in Elizabeth New Jersey, and published a historical fiction novel. Jaime was a true renaissance man that lived exuberantly, richly, and passionately.
Jaime lived to be 81 years old and is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris Ramirez and his loving children and grandchildren. An intimate celebration will be held in Westfield, NJ, and a subsequent memorial service will take place in Cali, Colombia, to honour him with his broader family.
