Emma F Ilardo

Emma Wild Ilardo, 99, of Elizabeth, New Jersey died peacefully on October 24, 2021 in Palm Coast, Florida. Emma was born February 18, 1922 in Jersey City, daughter of the late Edward G. and Sadie (Adams) Wild.

Emma was a graduate of Battin High School in Elizabeth, NJ. She enjoyed winters in Puerto Rico, summers at the Jersey Shore, and also enjoyed boating and playing bingo.

On September 20, 1941, Emma married her husband Jim Ilardo, who was the founder of Niagara Electrical Contractors in Elizabeth, NJ. For 43 years they built a lifetime together until he passed away in 1984.

Emma was a homemaker, mother, and loving grandmother. She was the devoted mother of James and wife Valerie Ilardo of Venice Florida and Betty and Husband Daniel Lynch of Westfield, and cherished Grandmother of James, Stephen, Sean, and Todd, 10 Great- Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great- Grandchildren. Emma was predeceased by her sisters Mabel, Florence, Theresa, and Marie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 9:00AM until the 11:00AM service at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East St. George Avenue Linden. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
