Violet H Allen

Violet Holm Allen, 88, of Lincoln, NE passed away on November 6, 2017. Violet Holm Allen (Borgmann), was born December 30, 1928 to William and Laurretta (Holm) Borgmann. She was baptized on April 3, 1941, confirmed on April 23, 1943 and married, at Zion Lutheran Church Emerald, NE. Violet graduated from Pleasant Dale High School in 1947. She married Gerald R. Allen on April 25, 1948 and they moved to a farm near Pleasant Dale, NE. To this union four children were born; Calvin L. of Garland, Delbert R. of Lincoln, Linda S. Lee and Gayle L. Norris all of Lincoln, NE. She became a member of the Pleasant Dale United Methodist Church in May 13, 1956. Violet is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Calvin and Denise Allen and Delbert and Susan Allen; daughters and sons-in-laws, Linda and Randy Lee and Gayle and William Norris; eight grandchildren, Daryl, Nichole, AJ, Sarah, Jessie, Jared, Devon and Jenna; nine great grandchildren, Keyara, Jadyn, Drake, Cohen, Jack, Alivia, Isla, Henry and Chance; sisters-in-laws, Barbara Borgmann, Leora Penkava and Mary Allen; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Gerald R. Allen, her parents, William and Laurretta Borgmann; brothers and sister-in-laws, Don and Jean Borgmann, Paul and Loraine Borgmann, William (Bill) Borgmann and Charles Borgmann, sisters and brother-in-laws, Genevieve Sutton, Joy and Simon Rezac and Patricia and Dale Danekas; brother-in-law Glenn Allen; sister-in-law and brother-in –law, Alice and Leo Linder, Korleen and Vern Brandt, Ruth and Chuck Patak and Rachel and Tom Kilzer. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 3 pm all services will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. 6800 South 14th Street.
