Robert was born July 1, 1925 in Lyons, NE to Emel and Cora (Schrader) Swanson. He passed away December 7, 2018. Bob graduated from Lyons High School in 1942. On May 20, 1950 he married Arleen D. Heitmann. Bob retired from Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Co and Americom Communication corp. He served in the South Pacific on the USS LSM 213 amphibious ship during WWII while in the US Navy. He is a member of the VFW Post 131, Lincoln, NE. Preceded in death by wife, Arleen; parents; sisters, Eloise Knox and Gloria Poeschl; brothers, Garland, Russ and Ben Swanson and sisters-in-law, Loretta Swanson and Esther Swanson.
