Phyllis Jean Christiansen

91. She was born to Phillip and Mary (Ryerson) Wolfe on April 18, 1932, in Schuyler, NE. After

graduating high school she met the love of her life, Glenn Christiansen. They were married on

May 17, 1951. They were blessed with five children. Phyllis was a member of Immanuel

Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She worked at the Department of Motor Vehicles for 25

plus years. She enjoyed cooking Sunday meals for her children and grandchildren. That time

was very precious to her.

After retirement she enjoyed playing bingo with her sister and nephew every week.

She was a very passionate Atlanta Braves fan.

She is survived by her children Curtis (Corie) Christiansen of Lincoln, Glenda (Jerald) Steinman

of Nebraska City, Kevin (Lisbeth) Christiansen of Lincoln, Keith (Luanne) Christiansen of

Lincoln, and Brian (Kelly) Christiansen of Denton.

Grandchildren Tara (Thomas)Fuoco, Chuck (Summer) Christiansen, Shawnna (Christoff) Lara,

Aleaha (Jordan) Sterba, Seth Christiansen, Sam Christiansen, Carlie (Anthony) Higgins,

Caleb Christiansen, Dane Christiansen, Cole Christiansen, Taylor (Evan) Hohnstein and

Hanna Christiansen.

Great Grandchildren Katherine Anderson, Leah Christiansen, Bennett, Samuel, and Ember

Hohnstein, Dahlia Lara, James Wagner.

Siblings Corrinne Splichal, Melvin (Lois) Wolfe, and Janice Murdock.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Glenn of 28 years, her brothers

Wayne and Wilber Wolfe, sister in laws Joan Wolfe and Louise Wolfe, and brother in law Joe Splichal Sr.

She was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all of us.

A special thank you goes out to the nurses and staff at Traditions Hospice for the wonderful

care that you gave Phyllis. As well as the staff at Hillcrest Firethorn for taking such good care

of Phyllis over the years.

Visitation with family will be Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Lincoln

Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St. Lincoln, NE.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. 2001 S 11th St. Lincoln, NE 68502. Services will be livestreamed on Immanuel Lutheran Church's Facebook page. Officiated by Reverend Jeffrey Bloom. A luncheon will follow.

Graveside services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Schuyler Cemetery. Schuyler, NE.
