Marcia Ann Menefee

Marcia A Menefee, 71, of Lincoln passed away April 12, 2017. She was born February 22, 1946 in Dexter, IA to E. Herbert and Edna Cunningham. She attended Peru State College for two years. She was married to James Menefee in Menlo, IA in June 1966. They moved to Lincoln where she worked for Montgomery Ward and Lincoln Telephone & Telegraph Co. and he worked for BNSF Railroad. She was a member of the BNSF Cornhusker Club, BNSF Veterans Association, Ladies Auxiliary of the UTU #456 and Southgate United Methodist Church. Marcia volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for many years and volunteered at Bryan LGH East for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren. Marcia is survived by her daughters: Michelle Berry of Lincoln, Carla (Roger) Harris of Raymond; son-in-law, Andrew of Wilber; grandchildren Lauren, Case, Avery and Lanz; sister, Betsy Teeter (Gary Brandt), sisters-in-law, Laurene Cunningham, Pauline Clark; brothers-in-law, Ed (Shirley) Menefee, Tom Menefee, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Menefee; daughter, Janet Jecha; brother, Gary Cunningham and infant sister. Visitation will be Friday April 14, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m and funeral services Saturday April 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14th Street.
