Lionel Al E Kaar

Lionel (Al) Kaar passed away peacefully on March24, 2017. He was 88 years young. Born July 1, 1928 on the family farm in Rokeby, NE. The son of Harrison and Winona Kaar. Lionel joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft Bliss Texas. Lionel started his life long career as a Master Plumber, Pipefitter and Certified Welder working on many large projects in and around the Lincoln area including power plants such as Brownville, and Hallam. He used his welding skills to create many works of art, loved his garden and flowers. Lionel met the love of his life Patricia (Jones) Kaar. They were together until her passing in 2003. Together they had seven children, and many foster children over the years. Lionel is survived by his children: Sandra Giegling, Barbara Kaar, Tamara Lightner, Joe Kaar, Rick Kaar, Richard Kaar, Winona Oliver, and Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
