Keith was born in Bassett, Nebraska to Lloyd and Nellie Sandall and grew up on a ranch in the Sandhills. Keith obtained a 4-year degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Animal Science and returned to the ranch after graduating and getting married to Delores. Ranching life was firmly engrained in his blood and he continued along that path happily for many years to come. After retiring from ranching in 1998, he went to work for the State of Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality–Agriculture Division, retiring in 2011. His family fondly remembers his deep love of the Ford Mustangs he drove, and the card games he played ‘to win’ because of his competitive spirit. As a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge in Hickman and a Shriner, he gained many fraternal brothers whom he held dearly in his heart. He also loved his family, and is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years: Delores Sandall; his children Brian (Tiffany) Sandall and Darrel (Sharon) Sandall; his many grandchildren: Deidre, Caleb, Brandon, Andrea, Ethan, Ainsley, Marissa, Sarah, and Kyle; sisters Kay Ann (Paul) Knox and Joan (Steve) Tempero; as well as many friends, family, nieces and nephews. The memorial service was held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 10am Friday May 11th with a burial to take place at a later date in Bassett, NE. The family has requested memorials be directed to the Sesostris Shrine Transportation Fund or to the Camp Fontenelle Capital Campaign in Nickerson, NE.
