Joy Elaine Harr, of Lincoln, passed away October 16. She was born to Lloyd and Grace Carley on February 2, 1935 in Springview, Nebraska, and given the perfect name for who she was as a person. Joy and her husband, Ervin, were married for 64 years until his death in 2018.
Joy was a talented seamstress, crafter, baker, and cook. Her homemade chicken & noodles, chocolate chip cookies, and cinnamon rolls were favorites of anyone lucky enough to try them. Joy’s kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by children Debra Root (Randy) of Omaha, David (Kristen) of Carlsbad, Calif., and Wesley, of Lincoln; grandsons Evan Root of Lincoln, Ian Root (Hannah) of Dallas, Nolan and Benjamin Harr of Carlsbad, Calif.; sister Marie Smith of Elgin; many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
